Q 2: Is it permissible for a man who, on returning home after a journey during which he broke the Sawm (fast), finds his wife taking a Ghusl (ritual bath) marking the purification of her menses to immediately have sexual intercourse with her? Or, should he complete the Sawm?

A: If a traveler returns home during the daytime of Ramadan, he must abstain from food, drink and sexual intercourse. Thus, he may not (Part No. 10; Page No. 317) have sexual intercourse with his wife on the day he returns home so as not to violate the sanctity of Sawm time.May Allah grant us success.
