What should be done with excess samples taken for the quality assurance of imported goods

A: First, when the officials perform quality assurance tests, they should ask for samples that are sufficient for the test, not more. Second, in case some of the sample submitted is enough for the test, the rest should be returned to its owner, by taking their address and fixing a date for returning the extra sample, and finding the person responsible for this to be contacted. Third, if the owners of the sample or their deputies do not come to take it, and it is feared that it might be ruined, it should be sold and its money brought to the national treasury. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
