What is the ruling on greeting

Q 1: is it permissible to add words to the phrase "Al-Salamu `Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh (Part No. 24; Page No. 116) (Peace, Mercy and Blessings of Allah be upon you)"?

A: It is not permissible to add words to the phrase "Al-Salamu `Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh" when initiating it, as we know of no proof supporting this.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
