Wearing shorts when swimming

Q 4: Is it permissible to wear shorts for swimming, although they show part of the thighs and navel?

A: If the shorts cover the `Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in public), which is the area between the navel and the knees for men, and are wide and not transparent, it is permissible to wear them.
