Washing and shrouding someone who dies during Salah

A: If someone dies while offering Salah, they should be washed and shrouded before burial, as there is no Shar‘y (Islamic legal) evidence that permits burying them without washing. As to a martyr, who dies on a battlefield in particular, their body should not be washed, because the Messenger (peace be upon him) did not wash the dead bodies of the martyrs who died on the battlefield nor did he offer the Funeral Prayer for them.May Allah grant us success.
