Vowing to visit Al-Sayyid Al-Badawy Mosque

Q 3: what is the meaning of making a vow? What is the ruling on making a vow and not being able to fulfill it because of the bad financial conditions for example?During my wife's second pregnancy, I vowed to make her visit Al-Sayyid Al-Badawy Mosque, but I could not fulfill my vow because I could not afford the visit.

A: If the matter is as you mentioned, it is not permissible for you to fulfill such a vow, because it involves doing an act of disobedience to Allah (Exalted be He).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
