Using Ayahs in telling jokes
Q 4: Is it permissible to use Ayahs (Qur’anic verses) when joking among friends? Examples: (1) (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him; (2) And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained. (3) The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads)
(Part No. 4; Page No. 83) A: It is not permissible to use Ayahs in telling jokes. However, it is permissible to use oft-repeated expressions that are not intended to quote any Ayah or phrase of the Qur’an.May Allah grant us success.
