Uprightness: A condition for being a Mu'adhin

Q: My father is a Mu'adhin (caller to Prayer). He fell ill and went to the hospital. Is it permissible for me to call the Adhan (call to Prayer) on his behalf taking into consideration that I sometimes watch TV?

A: You have to obey your father and call the Adhan if you are good at doing so. However, it is not permissible for you to watch unlawful material and obscene programs displayed on TV.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
