Uncovering the face of the deceased when burying him

A: There is no evidence for exposing the face of the dead in the grave. All the evidences indicate that it should be covered, whether the dead person is male or female. The basic rule is covering the face like the rest of the body, unless the man is in a state of Ihram (ceremonial state for Hajj and `Umrah). In this case, (Part No. 8; Page No. 420) his face and head should not be covered.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
