Q 4:
My daughter has young children whose ages do not exceed five years. These children pass before me while I am offering Salah (Prayer) and break it.
They pass before me many times and I can not stop them during Salah, is there any blame on me?
A:
Do your best to stop them from passing between you and your Sutrah (barrier placed in front of a person praying). If they surprise you and pass, there is no blame on you because Salah is not broken except by passing of the adult woman, donkey, and dog, and if they pass between the person praying and his Sutrah or close to him if he does not have a Sutrah within less than three arm lengths. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
If anybody amongst you is praying behind something as a Sutra and somebody tries to pass in front of him, then he should repulse him and if he refuses, he should use force against him for he is a satan.
