The manners of the Prophet

Q 4: What was the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) like at home? What were his manners?

A: The manners of the Prophet (peace be upon him) were that of the Qur’an as `Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) described him, deriving her portrayal of his character from Allah’s saying: And Verily, you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are on an exalted (standard of) character. The Prophet (peace be upon him) dealt mildly and gently with his family. He used to help them in performing household duties until the prescribed time of Salah (Prayer) was due. We advise you to read the Qur’an and the books of Hadith and Sirah (the Prophet’s biography) to learn more information.
