The Ayah: 'It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof'

Q 2: We hope to know the explanation of Allah's saying (the meanings of which are translated as): It is Allâh Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). (Part No. 3; Page No. 180) Does this mean there are seven earths or does it refer to the layers of the earth?

A: Allah (Glorified be He) tells us that He has created seven heavens and seven earths by His Saying: It is Allâh Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). It is mentioned in the Two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith (i.e. Al-Bukhari and Muslim) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If a person takes a span of land unjustly, their neck shall be encircled with it down seven earths. This is a proof of Allah's Absolute Power (Glorified and Exalted be He).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
