The adornment a woman may show in the presence of her Mahrams

Q 6: Is a woman's face included in `Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in public)? (Part No. 17; Page No. 296) Q 7: What is the "adornment" that Allah allows a woman to show in front of her relatives?

A: Yes, a woman's face is included in `Awrah, as proven by the evidence of Shari`ah (Islamic law). As for what a woman is permitted to uncover in the presence of her Mahrams (unmarriageable relatives) other than her husband, this includes her face, hands, anklet, earrings, bracelets, necklace, and the places on which they are worn, in addition to her head and feet. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family, and Companions.
