The account that Abu Bakr said: 'Were Allah to appear to me, nothing of my Iman would have increased”

Q 8: Is it authentically reported that Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “Were Allah to appear to me, nothing of my Iman (Faith) would have increased”?

A: As far as we know, this statement is not confirmed to be said by Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), (Part No. 26; Page No. 39) because it implies an ascription of religiosity to oneself over others and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) never claimed for himself to have won some superiority in faith.May Allah grant us success.
