Taking photographs of humans and other beings

(Part No. 1; Page No. 666) A: According to some Sahih Hadiths (Hadiths that have been transmitted by people known for their uprightness and exactitude; free from eccentricity and blemish) of the Prophet (peace be upon him), it is prohibited to take photographs of animate beings, be they humans or animals. Therefore, it is impermissible to have a picture taken of you to send to your family or your wife.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
