Swearing not to have intercourse with the wife for four months but having it
Q 6: I swore by Allah that I would not have sexual intercourse with my wife for four months then I had sexual intercourse before the elapse of 4 months. What should I do?
A: If the reality is as mentioned, it will be obligatory upon you to offer the Kaffarah (expiation) of a broken oath: (Part No. 20; Page No. 260) To feed ten needy people of the average food you bring to your family, to clothe them, or to free a Muslim slave. If you are unable to do so, then you have to fast for three days. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
