Stealing cigarettes
Q 2: What is the ruling on stealing cigarettes from my father knowing that they cause him harm, and that stealing them does not lead to evil consequences?
A: If the case is as mentioned, it is permissible to dispose of these cigarettes as a way of averting harm, provided this does not result in evil consequences. Moreover, it is obligatory on you to advise your father and explain to him the harms of smoking and that it is prohibited.May Allah grant us success.
