Some person paid in Zakah a sum more than that due on his property and wants to deduct the extra amount from the due Zakah of the next year

A2: If you paid the Zakah due on your money for the past year and later you found out that the Zakah that you paid is more than the required amount, it is unacceptable for you to deduct the extra amount from the Zakah of the following year, because it is necessary to (Part No. 8; Page No. 333) have the intention prior to paying Zakah. However, you did not intend to pay this extra amount for the Zakah of the following year, so it is impermissible and you have to pay the Zakah due on your money for the next year regardless of this extra amount of money.May Allah grant us success.
