Small Mahr like a ring

Q 4: Is it permissible to marry with a small amount of Mahr (mandatory gift to a bride from her groom), such as a ring?

(Part No. 19; Page No. 45) A: There is no minimum or maximum limit for Mahr. It might be a ring, its value or more. However, it is impermissible to exaggerate in the value of Mahr, as it leads to many evils. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
