A:
The Kudrah (dusky-colored vaginal discharge during or after menstruation) and Sufrah (yellow vaginal discharge during or after menstruation) that women find during the days of their menstrual period are regarded as menstrual blood due to which a woman has to refrain from Salah and Sawm, and it is forbidden for her husband to have sexual intercourse with her during this period.
Um `Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "We used to consider Sufrah and Kudrah after the period has ended as nothing (i.e. not menses)." This means that both discharges are considered part of menstruation if they occur before cessation of bleeding.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
