Should a wife whose husband pronounced a triple divorce observe `Iddah for three menstrual periods or only one?

A: His divorced wife has to observe three menstrual periods, and it is not enough to observe only one, because of the generality of His Statement (Exalted be He): And divorced women shall wait (as regards their marriage) for three menstrual periods May Allah grant us success.
