Selling figs before they become edible
A: It is not permissible to sell figs unless they appear to be edible, according to the Shar‘y (Islamic legal) evidence in this regard. It is authentically reported that The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade the sale of fruit until it appeared edible. (Part No. 14; Page No. 84) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
