Sculpture and photography of beings with souls

A: Art, such as sculpture and photography of beings with a soul, is absolutely Haram (prohibited) at any time, except when it is a case of necessity, such as taking a photo for a passport or an ID card, taking photos of suspects to identify them, or for exams, employment, or other similar cases in which photos prevent (Part No. 1; Page No. 695) deception and maintain security. So taking photos is permissible if there is a real need for it.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
