Saving a woman from danger as not a reason to be her Mahram

(Part No. 17; Page No. 394)  A: If someone saves a woman’s life from danger, when he is an Ajnaby (a man other than a husband or unmarriageable male relatives) to her, he does not become her Mahram, as a Mahram relationship exists due to blood lineage, marriage, or breastfeeding, as is elaborated in the evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah (whatever was reported from the Prophet). However, what some laymen say, that if anyone saves a woman’s life from danger, he will become a Mahram to her, has no origin in the Shari‘ah (Islamic law), and it is Batil (null and void). You will be greatly rewarded by Allah for this, In sha’a-Allah (if Allah wills). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
