Ruling on someone committing Isbal, shaving the beard, watching movies and is given to slandering and backbiting
Q 1: What is the ruling on a person who does the following things: Isbal (lengthening and trailing clothing below the ankles), shaving their beard, watching pornographic movies, backbiting and slandering, wearing makeup and growing the nails for men, neglecting offering Salah (Prayer) in the Masjid (mosque), intermingling between men and women in parties, and eating and drinking with the left hand without an excuse? Such a person is considered disobedient to Allah. It is prescribed to advise them, so that they (Part No. 22; Page No. 216) may be guided by Allah, and urge them to perform sincere Tawbah (repentance to Allah), perform good deeds and seek Allah's forgiveness.
