Ruling on Isbal and its nullification of Wudu'

Q 1: What is the ruling on Isbal (lengthening and trailing clothing below the ankles)? Does it nullify Wudu' (ablution) or not? Does the same ruling apply to long pants and other items of clothing?

A: Isbal is Haram (prohibited), but it does not nullify Wudu'. The ruling of Isbal applies to other kinds of clothing including pants, trousers, etc.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
