eating Khat
and delaying the performing of `Asr (Afternoon) Prayer until half an hour before the Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer?
A:
Eating Khat is forbidden because it causes intoxication and it also distracts from the remembrance of Allah and from Salah. It is not permissible to delay Salah from its due time in congregation. These are forbidden acts resulting from eating Khat. They are all forbidden and therefore, Khat is strictly forbidden to eat.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
