Receiving a payment for delivering the Friday Khutbah
A: It is permissible for those who are in charge of the Masjid (mosque) to receive a wage for their works such as leading Prayer, giving Khutbah, (Part No. 8; Page No. 238) pronouncing Adhan (call to Prayer), and cleaning the Masjid, for they take care of a public interest and discharge an Islamic duty.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
