Putting photographs of animals or humans in a Masjid

Q 3: What is the ruling on putting photographs of animals or humans in a Masjid (Mosque)? Is it permissible to offer Salah in such a Masjid? Is it permissible to offer Salah (Prayer) wearing a garment decorated by human or animal photographs? Is it permissible to decorate an office or a bedroom with human or animal photographs?

A: It is not permissible to put human or animal photographs in Masjids (mosques). They should be removed from the Masjids where they are hung. As for those who offer Salah there, (Part No. 1; Page No. 690) their Salah is valid as long as they do not offer it in front of a photograph, the sin falls on the one who puts it there and those who can remove it but do not do so.In case that someone offers Salah in a garment on which there are human or animal photographs, their Salah is valid but they are committing a sin.It is not permissible to decorate an office or a bedroom or anywhere else with human or animal photographs.May Allah grant us success.
