Picturing animate beings is Haram
A: Picturing any animate being is altogether Haram (prohibited) unless for necessary purposes such as for passports. Therefore, selling the camera to another person who will use it in unlawful picturing is Haram. Whereas, selling it to a person who uses it in picturing animate beings for urgent purposes is permissible.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
