Permissibility of slaughtering and eating a goat feeding from a dog after its mother died
A:
It is unlawful to eat the meat of a goat that had been fed on a dog's milk until it is kept for three days or more to be fed on pure food. The reason for this is that the goat has the same ruling as Al-Jallalah (an animal that feeds on dung). `Abdullah
ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) forbade eating (Part No. 22; Page No. 301) Al-Mujathamah (an animal tied to be shot by arrows) and Al-Jallalah (an animal that feeds on dung) and drinking its milk.
