No expiation for Hidad as its time is over
A: If the reality is as you mentioned, your mother does not have to do anything to expiate for not observing Hidad following the death of her husband forty years ago, as its time is over. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
