Q 4: Is the Salah (Prayer) of a woman valid if she offers it while a man is in front of her, whether he is her father, brother or one of her relatives? Is the Salah of a man valid if he offers it while a woman is in front of him, even if she is one of his relatives?

A: Yes, both are valid. It is reported on the authority of `Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to offer the optional night Salah while I was lying like a dead body between him and the Qiblah (Ka`bah-direction faced in Prayer). When he wanted to offer the Witr (Prayer with an odd number of units), he would wake me up. (Agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) (Part No. 7; Page No. 87) May Allah grant us success.
