Meaning of Sadl
A: Sadl which is casting a person’s garment on his shoulders without tying it at his chest is Makruh (disliked) in Salah (Prayer). However, Ghutrah is not considered as a sort of Sadl, as the latter’s definition does not apply to it.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
