Maintaining the ties of kinship with relatives while continuing to advise them


A: You should not abandon them, but rather join ties with them in the future and apologize for your shortcomings in the past. This will bring much goodness, such as strengthening relationships, removing grudges, feeling compassion, obliterating sins, gaining rewards and maintaining the ties of kinship. However, you should continue to advise them to perform Tawbah (repentance to Allah) for the falsehood they committed.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
