Listening to news instead of the Qur'an
A: There is no offense in listening to the news or reading the newspapers at certain times instead of listening to the Holy Qur’an Radio, as everything has its due time. Listening to the news and the like is not judged to be a form of abandoning the Qur’an as long as one dedicates other times to reciting or listening to the Qur’an.
