Kissing the father's knee


A: It is obligatory on all children to be dutiful to their fathers and treat them kindly. However, making kissing the father's knees a regular habit done after Jumu`ah (Friday) Prayer has no origin in the Shari`ah (Islamic law) and is not permissible.May Allah grant us success.
