Is it permissible for the guardian to accept this?

Q 2: Is the guardian of a girl committing a sin if he permits her to mix with boys? Is he considered to be a Dayyuth (a man who does not feel jealously protective of his female relatives' honor) if he allows this?

A: Anyone who is assigned a responsibility by Allah is answerable for it. Therefore, if a girl’s guardian - whether he is the father or anyone else acting in his place for the girl - should teach her the morals of Islam and protect her from paths of evil and corruption. (Part No. 17; Page No. 113) Allah will then record a reward for him, and protect his dignity and honor. On the other hand, if he teaches her wrongly, neglects her, or pushes her to go to places where there is Fitan (seductions) and people are following their desires, he will be sinful for having wronged the one whom Allah has entrusted to his care. He will have a bad end, and will reap the fruits of his misdeed as: failure in this world and punishment in the Hereafter, unless Allah bestows His Mercy upon him. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
