Inheriting some money and discovering a part of it is a life insurance
Q 3: A person inherited a sum of money. After spending most of it, he discovered that some of it was from a life insurance policy whose installments were not fully paid. The insurance company paid the money to the inheritors after the insurer died. Is it sufficient for him to estimate this money and give it in charity to the poor in order to atone for this sin and purify the money he spent?
A: To get rid of the unlawful money, he should distribute the money that exceeds the paid installments to the poor.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
