Including a grave in a Masjid
Q: We have an old Masjid (mosque) surrounded by a very old cemetery ruined except for one grave. Inhabitants of the town want to expand the Masjid so that the graveyard will be included in it, bearing in mind that the place mentioned is the most suitable one for building a Masjid. Is it permissible or not?
A: It is prohibited to include the grave mentioned above or any part of the cemetery in the Masjid.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
