Q: If after a pregnant woman gives birth to her baby she does not experience postpartum bleeding, is it permissible for her husband to have sexual intercourse with her? Can she offer Salah (Prayer) and Sawm (Fasting) or not?

A: All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions. If a pregnant woman gives birth without postpartum bleeding, she should perform Ghusl (ritual bath), offer Salah and observe Sawm. Her husband can have sexual intercourse with her but after she takes Ghusl (ritual bath), because in most cases there is usually some blood, even if it is little, which is discharged while or after giving birth to a baby.May Allah grant us success.
