Harming sheep

Q 3: When my sheep harm me, by chewing some of my papers, cloth (Part No. 26; Page No. 158) or food, I become very angry and I hit them violently. Will I bear a sin for doing that or not?

A: The owner of the sheep has to provide for them and when they feel hungry and eat whatever they find, it is not permissible to beat them or harm them in any way. Thus, you have to seek Allah's Forgiveness and abstain from hurting them any more.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
