What is the ruling on a woman who

Q: My wife wants to engage in trade in the market which is held on Thursday while wearing modest clothes. She asked me to write to Shaykh Ibn Baz to ask him whether she could engage in trade every Thursday or not. Please advise, may Allah protect Your Eminence.

A: It is permissible for her to go to the market to buy and sell if she has to, provided that she wears modest clothes that covers all her body, and she does not mix with men in a suspicious way. If she does not have to do this, it is better for her not to do it. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
