Having a wet dream

A: Anyone who wakes up and finds traces of Maniy (sperm/vaginal secretions that are released on orgasm) must (Part No. 4; Page No. 142) perform Ghusl, as it is due to a wet dream, even if one does not remember it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Water is for water (i.e. Ghusl is necessary when Maniy is emitted). Also, when he was asked by Um Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), the mother of Anas ibn Malik, 'Verily, Allah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. Is it necessary for a woman to take a bath after she has a wet dream?' The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, 'Yes, if she notices a discharge.' (Agreed upon by Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim)May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
