Q 4: Is it better to use the right or the left hand to count the number of Tasbih (saying: "Subhan Allah [Glory be to Allah]")?

A: It is better to use the right hand; it is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to count the number of Tasbih on his right hand. This is based on the purport of the Hadith narrated on the authority of `Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) liked to start with the right when putting on his shoes, combing his hair, cleaning or washing himself, and when doing anything else. However, according to other Hadiths reported in this regard, it is permissible to use either hand to count Tasbih.May Allah grant us success.
