Is it permissible for a traveler

Q 2: Is it permissible for students to combine Zhuhr (Noon) and `Asr (Afternoon) Prayers, because their teachers and those in charge do not let them perform their Salahs (Prayers) at their due times if they are in class?

A: Students should perform the four Rak`ahs (units of Prayer) for Zhuhr and `Asr Prayers in their due times. The detention their teachers impose is not a legal excuse that permits Salah combining.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
