Burying a deceased in a coffin

Q 3: Is it permissible to put a deceased Muslim in a coffin before putting the corpse into the grave?

A: There is nothing wrong to put the corpse of a deceased Muslim in a coffin. However, the corpse should be taken out of the coffin before it is laid down into the grave. However, it is permissible to leave the corpse inside the coffin if you fear that it will rot or decay. (Part No. 8; Page No. 440) May Allah grant us success.
