False testimony

Q 4: Guide us, may Allah reward you! What is the ruling on a man who gave false testimony, but was ignorant of it, and had accomplices who encouraged him to do so? He has since repented and has never repeated it again.

A 4: Giving false testimony is one of the major sins. He who repents and determines not to repeat it, his repentance will be accepted if he is faithful. He should return the rights of whomever was wronged or ask for their forgiveness. Allah (Glorified be He) states: And He it is Who accepts repentance from His slaves, and forgives sins, and He knows what you do. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
