Accumulated money kept for a full lunar year

A: If the money he has accumulated reached the Nisab (the minimum amount on which Zakah is due) and remained for a full lunar year, Zakah would be obligatory on it. It does not matter that he dispensed with it in marriage or the like after a full lunar year passed. If he did not pay the due Zakah on the amount of money on which Zakah became obligatory, he would have to pay it. As for the money that has not been kept for a full lunar year (Part No. 9; Page No. 271) and was spent, there is no Zakah due on it.May Allah grant us success.
