Swearing by honesty
A: It is not permissible to swear by other than Allah, whether by honesty or anything else, in compliance with the warning of the Prophet (peace be upon him): Anyone who swears by other than Allah has committed Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.
